TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION DESIGNER 

Function: The Transmission and Distribution Designer will design new transmission and distribution lines, review and modify existing line designs to develop alternatives to meet customer needs.

Requirements: 

  • – Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  •  

SUBSTATION, SYSTEMS, AND PLANNING ENGINEERING LEAD

Function: The Substations, Systems, and Planning Engineering Lead will design and oversee the construction of power substations to meet our Partner Utility’s needs. This position also oversees the development of utility planning studies to assist partners in organizing  their future development.

The Engineer Lead will be responsible for training and developing new engineers and manage projects to ensure completion is on time and on budget.

 Requirements: 

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • – Current Professional Engineers License with the ability to obtain a professional engineering license in states served by BKI
  • – Proven success in working with utility and construction personnel
  • – Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
  • – Leadership skills, being able to directly supervise and mentor engineers
  • – Familiarity with engineering standards such as RUS, IEEE, ANSI, and NESC
  •  
  • GIS TECHNICIAN 

  • Function: The GIS Technician will be responsible for making maps, customized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications and manipulating data to serve a variety of purposes. They will read and interpret maps, manipulate and understand digital land data and manage data entered into a GIS database.
