Due to the increase of wildfires nationally and related legislation/regulation, utilities are actively developing wildfire mitigation plans (WMPs). These comprehensive plans help utilities develop operational policies and practices to prevent, prepare for and respond to wildfire events. BKI has been helping its utility partners prepare WMPs since 2018.

If you have an existing WMP, BKI can review your plan to ensure that it is comprehensive in scope, meets the statutory requirements for your state, and contains electric utility best management practices for wildfire mitigation. Our evaluation service includes recommendations to correct any identified deficiencies.
